I know I’ve posted about this before, but I just wanted to share our windowsill in all its current glory! The seedlings are thriving and it’s giving me joy every morning when I wake up. So far we have onions, peas, spinach, broad beans, peppers and sweetpeas.

I’m also about to add tomatoes and a few other bits and bobs into the mix. I really do love this time of year! We’re fortunate to have a west facing bay window, which means that the seedlings get sun from the south and west (basically all day light). I’ve been known to also cart them between the livingroom and kitchen (which faces east). I’ll move the spinach and onions out to the unheated greenhouse soon and keep the rest of the more tender plants tucked up inside for another few weeks. Early April, I’ll start to move the tomatoes and peppers outside to the greenhouse during the day and then bring them in at night.

Happy weekend. Enjoy the sunshine and have fun getting outside and getting your hands into the soil.
